Buzz droids were tiny saboteur droids designed by the Techno Union for use by the Confederacy of Independent Systems in the Clone Wars. They were delivered by missile in swarms. The ones not destroyed in delivery attacked their targets with saws, drills, and cutting torches until the ship was disabled.
R2-D2 once faced off with an attacking buzz droid. He blew it up with his Mega Buster and got an extra life. R2 blew the buzz droid to infinity... and beyond!
