This article is called Pazaak. Pazaak has been written from a simple, Ric Olié point of view. A non-simple version of Pazaak can be read on Darthipedia. Darthipedia is the Star Wars Humor Wiki.
Born without a sense of humor? We are inspired by your courageous struggle. …Just kidding. Get the hell out of here and go read Wookiepedia's "real" article on Pazaak.
"Pure pazaak, the console's ours..."
―Atton Rand

Pazaak was a metaphor for life, man! During the Old Republic, that is, until sabacc came around. Then it became a metaphor for outdatedness...except when Darth Revan or the Jedi Exile played it in order to put together enough scratch to buy a hooker, a round of death sticks, or a new blaster or lightsaber upgrade. Then, it was "game mechanics".

So that's the history of the game for—would you like to play pazaak?
