Shadows of the Empire was a book both written and performed as a hit single by Steve Perry.

The book, at three hundred and fifty-seven pages in length, details an account of three stormtroopers jumping around a room because they are scared of their own shadows. The shadows, nicknamed "Nasty Pirahnas", or "Fisting Nirvana", or something,[1] are an obvious allegory for the pacification of Manchukuo from 1931 to 1941.

  • Page forty-nine contains one of Perry's very own pubic hairs, which fell into the printing press during publication. Perry has refused to comment upon not only its colour, but also its texture and general musk.

  1. Oh, so it's a phonetic Doctor Who joke which probably no one will get. What of it? Shut up, or I'll turn out the lights. Ice cream.
